MISCON MINUTES FOR WEEKLY MEETING

Meeting was called to order @ 6:00 p.m. by Bob L.
Minutes were accepted as written by all in attendance.
CONCHAIR: nothing to report
ART: nothing to report
MERCHANTS: We received a check from Gallant Games for two tables.
GAMING: There are lots of games almost ready for scheduling. Discussion of rooms 232 and 233 as possible overflow gaming rooms or used by LARP.
WRITERS WORKSHOP: Bob L. called the high schools and the university. Hellgate is very interested. Possibility of a student being in charge of getting it all together there. Big Sky is promoting the writer's workshop however there are no “takers” yet.
TREASURER: Two more memberships arrived. Bob L. or John D. will deposit the money soon.
VIDEO: The video chair emailed the rules to the con chair. We have a few questions for Mick K. about the amount of time allowed for each “short” film.
SECURITY: The con has it’s camera for the vendors’ room. The check has been mailed for the kilts. We need to do a radio check at the next security meeting and look into how much ear bud covers will be. Bob L. counted 7 working radios. Next security meeting is 03/12/05 @ 6:30 p.m. at the Hunter’s house. Bob L. talked to Team Shirts about embroidery.
REGISTRATION: nothing to report
HOSPITALITY: nothing to report
PROGRAMMING/WEB: We need to give Bob N. the merchants map so he can put it on the website. Damon needs some smaller flyers from Bob (4 to a page) to put up in the mall stores.
VOLUNTEERS/OPS: Joy received a bank statement for MisCon from Sterling Bank. Everything appears to be in order.
MEDIA RELATIONS: Damon received information about the banners we were considering. We can have a 4 color logo on it and the dates are able to be changed for use in the future. A 2 x 6 banner is $75.00. A 2 x 8 banner is $95.00. The business would need at least 2 weeks notice.
MASQUERADE: Andrea Coyle and Chris Blazer are in charge of masquerade this year. We need to figure out prizes ahead of time and also makeup stuff. Need to contact Gail Glass.
We need to make up the passes to send to other cons and get them out.
Next years guests have not been contacted specifically yet. Need to get that done soon.
We need to contact the SCA about coming again and the possibility of a demo.
