Ben Donnelly
Ben Donnelly

My name is Benjamin Donnelly, and this will be my 22nd time at Miscon. I am currently an assistant professor of history at the University of Great Falls and Great Falls College-MSU, where I teach all kinds of historical subjects, mainly military history and including a course on anime and Japan. I was born in Georgia, but I've lived in Montana most of my life, and it's home. For the past decade or so, I've hosted the AMV Party at Miscon, as well as run the famous (or infamous) Destroy UM Battletech game. I'm also a longtime member of the Sandbaggers Game Club in Great Falls, and part of the ConCom for the Great Falls Gaming Rendezvous, as well as an avid--though amateur--cosplayer.

Justin Farrington
Justin Farrington

I enjoy facilitating fun for an entire group and encourage a cooperative storytelling style of play rather than an adversarial one. It's easy to kill characters. It's harder to keep a group coming back for more, week after week. I consider myself fortunate to have a group of players who want to help tell stories, and who keep coming back to find out what happens next.

Jason Holt
Jason Holt

Jason graduated from Big Sky High School and somehow ended up in the
Czech Republic, where he learned enough Czech to work for a computer
game developer.

When he returned to Montana, he was able to get a job translating
board games, thanks to the miracle of the internet. He has worked on
every game ever published by Czech Games Edition, including Galaxy
Trucker, Space Alert, and Dungeon Lords. When he's not translating, he
writes the Edgewhen series of fantasy adventure novels.

I help run MisCon, which occurs each year on Memorial Day Weekend in Missoula, Montana, thanks to the wonderful people who make it happen.
I run games, primarily Call of Cthulhu, GURPS and other Steve Jackson Games products and various games from Cheapass Games.
As a semi-professional nerd, I believe geekery and gaming can have positive effects on math, reading and writing, and social interaction skills as well as family togetherness.

Alina Pete

Alina was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. To survive the harsh Canadian winters, she took to doodling funny animals on any available surface in her feeble attempts to stay warm. After high school, Alina took classical animation courses and went to the University of Saskatchewan in pursuit of her BFA (which remains uncompleted).

Greg Schneider
Greg Schneider

Greg had been coming to Miscon since he graduated college and has run a really large number of role-playing sessions. So many that he decided to get help in 2012, started Black Shield Productions and got paid to GameMaster so he could call himself a professional GM. Unfortunately, Black Shield Productions was really good at what it did, and has been spiraling out of control for three years, gathering up a bunch of awesome game masters and running unique events conventions throughout the northwest and bringing solid weekend of gaming to Miscon each year. Greg can be found running games or hanging out with his family during the convention.

Keith Seyffarth
Keith Seyffarth

An experienced gamer and GM, having run long-term campaigns in multiple systems, I've been role-playing since 1983, and running games since 1986. Of course, those first games were pretty off the wall and unstructured - so nothing's really changed.

Brooke Stanley
Brooke Stanley

Brooke H. Stanley, RN, is a modern day Bard. Scrapping, skulking and schmoozing are reoccurring themes in his as yet neverending story. With Bachelor’s degrees in English and Nursing as well as a fist-full of apparently useless graduate work, he is both over-educated and very friendly. He has been burned, shot and driven for spymasters and U.S. Presidents. He has a lovely singing voice and likes both cats and dogs equally. Before moving to Barrow, Alaska, Brooke worked as a prison nurse and reads medical encyclopedias for fun.
