We have many systems represented each year at MisCon. Here is a schedule of games being run at MisCon 26, sorted by the Game System. This list is updated on the first Saturday of each month, until March, when it will be updated every Saturday.

BASH Ultimate Edition

Everything you need to create characters and run super-heroic adventures within minutes. The rules are light and easy all you need are two ordinary dice, a piece of paper, and this book. Character generation is so simple, you could fit all the info you need on a 3x5 card, but we included a sheet anyway.

Do not assume that by simple, we mean incomplete, either. Bash has over 50 versatile super powers, numerous skills, and even rules for collateral damage. The action is fast and furious, paced over a series of panels, pages, and issues, just like a comic book.

Battleship Galaxies

Battleship Galaxies is a space combat miniatures board game that is a distant cousin to the original Battleship game. The two opposing forces represented in the game, the human Intergalactic Space Navy and the alien Wretcheridians, are represented by 20 highly-detailed starship miniatures. There are figures for several different ship types and each has an individual reference card that defines the characteristics of that ship (e.g. weapons, movement, shields). The game is played on a star field hex board.
The game is scenario driven and each scenario will define the goal of the game as well as initial board set-up. Each turn, players have a certain number of energy points that can be spent to perform actions, such as movement or fire. Combat is resolved by rolling special dice, a ten-sided die with letters and an eight-sided die with numbers. The resulting letter-number combination is compared to the target ship’s reference card to determine the result. Hits on a ship are indicated by placing colored pegs in the figure’s base.

BattleTech is a science fiction tactical wargame in which players maneuver giant fighting robots ("BattleMechs," or "'Mechs") against each other (or vehicles and/or infantry). WELCOME TO CALL OF CTHULHU! If you have ever been enthralled by a ghost story or spellbound at a horror movie, you are in for a treat. Part the veil that separates frail humanity from the terror that lurks beyond space and time. Investigate forgotten ruins, haunted woods, and nameless menaces.

Call of Cthulhu is a horror roleplaying game using the Basic Roleplaying system and based upon the writings of Howard Phillips Lovecraft and a few others. Lovecraft wrote during the 1920s and 1930s, and he became a cult figure before dying in 1937. Since then his stature as an author has grown, and now he is generally recognized as the major American horror-story writer of the twentieth century.

Dominion

You are a monarch, like your parents before you, a ruler of a small pleasant kingdom of rivers and evergreens. Unlike your parents, however, you have hopes and dreams! You want a bigger and more pleasant kingdom, with more rivers and a wider variety of trees. You want a Dominion! In all directions lie fiefs, freeholds, and feodums. All are small bits of land, controlled by petty lords and verging on anarchy. You will bring civilization to these people, uniting them under your banner.
But wait! It must be something in the air; several other monarchs have had the exact same idea. You must race to get as much of the unclaimed land as possible, fending them off along the way. To do this you will hire minions, construct buildings, spruce up your castle, and fill the coffers of your treasury. Your parents wouldn't be proud, but your grandparents, on your mother's side, would be delighted.

In mythology of the Hopi Native American tribe, the world is ruled by kachinas (or spirits) of many different types. Children of the tribe learn about these different spirits through the use of Kachina dolls. To illustrate the tension of different spirits in the world, the tribe elders created this game of kachinas vying for dominance. Will the Eagle soar above the Black Ogre? Will the Clown mock the Chief to nothingness? Or maybe the Sun god will outshine all in its radiance?

Mad Scientist University

Player in turn takes on the role of an evil genius Teacher's Assistant (TA) at the Mad Scientist University.
Each TA holds a class challenging the students (everyone else) to come up with a way to meet a goal given certain elements listed on distributed cards (Create Perpetual Motion with Lawn Gnomes, for example). Each student brainstorms and then gives a short presentation detailing their plan, and the TA awards the card with the goal to the 'best' plan by whatever criteria the TA wishes (evil geniuses get to be snarky, after all). The winner is the student with the most won goal cards after everyone has led a course.

Munchkin

Munchkin is a satirical card game based on the clichés and oddities of Dungeons and Dragons and other role-playing games. Each player starts at level 1 and the winner is the first player to reach level 10. Players can acquire familiar D&D style character classes during the game which determine to some extent the cards they can play.

There are two types of cards - treasure and encounters. Each turn the current players 'kicks down the door' - drawing an encounter card from the deck. Usually this will involve battling a monster. Monsters have their own levels and players must try and overcome it using the levels, weapons and powers they have acquired during the game or run away. Other players can chose to help the player or hinder by adding extra monsters to the encounter. Defeating a monster will usually result in drawing treasure cards and acquiring levels. Being defeated by a monster results in "bad stuff" which usually involves losing levels and treasure.

Once Upon a Time 3E

Once Upon a Time is the award-winning storytelling card game that encourages creativity and collaborative play. Once player is the Storyteller, and beings telling a story using the fairy tale elements on her Story cards, guiding the plot toward her Ending Card. The other players use their own cards to interrupt her and become the new Storyteller. The winner is the first player to use all her Story Cards and play her Ending Card. The object of the game, though, is not so much to win as to have fun creating a story together.

Rorschach

In every round of Rorschach, each player picks an inkblot that answers a question asked on a card. To win the game, you must pick the same inkblot as each other player at least once, and you must be the only one to pick an inkblot at least once. Can you figure out whether the other players are giving honest answers? Or are they trying to pick the same inkblot they think you will choose? Can you throw them off your scent so as to make a unique selection for an extra point? Subterfuge abounds in this game of skill, timing, and intrigue.

In Settlers of Catan, players try to be the dominant force on the island of Catan by building settlements, cities, and roads. On each turn dice are rolled to determine what resources the island produces. Players collect these resources to build up their civilizations to get to 10 victory points and win the game. Multi-award-winning and one of the most popular games in recent history due to its amazing ability to appeal to non-gamers and gamers alike.
