We have many systems represented each year at MisCon. Here is a schedule of games being run at MisCon 32, sorted by the Game System. This list is updated on the first Saturday of each month, until March, when it will be updated every Saturday.

Call of Cthulhu (BRP)

WELCOME TO CALL OF CTHULHU! If you have ever been enthralled by a ghost story or spellbound at a horror movie, you are in for a treat. Part the veil that separates frail humanity from the terror that lurks beyond space and time. Investigate forgotten ruins, haunted woods, and nameless menaces.

Call of Cthulhu is a horror roleplaying game using the Basic Roleplaying system and based upon the writings of Howard Phillips Lovecraft and a few others. Lovecraft wrote during the 1920s and 1930s, and he became a cult figure before dying in 1937. Since then his stature as an author has grown, and now he is generally recognized as the major American horror-story writer of the twentieth century.

Dread

Dread uses a very simple system. When you try to take a challenging action pull one or more Jenga blocks, as dictated by the GM. If you pull and succeed you succeed in your action. If you knock the tower over your player character dies and is out of the game - or if there is no sensible narrative way for that to happen (for instance a knock over by spilling your drink) they are the walking dead, unable to pull any more blocks and die at the next convenient opportunity.

Infinity the Game

Infinity the game (also known as Infinity: A Skirmish Game) is a tabletop miniature wargame with 28mm scale metal miniatures that simulates combat and special operations in a Science fiction environment created by Gutier Lusquiños of Corvus Belli. The games aesthetics are largely inspired by Manga, particularly the work of Masamune Shirow.
Each player controls a set of miniatures to represent soldiers on a tabletop battlefield, taking actions during play to achieve their set goals and prevent their opponent from achieving theirs, while also seeking to destroy their opponents soldiers.

Kids on Bikes

Kids on Bikes is a collaborative world building RPG, set in small towns with big mysteries. The rules-light storytelling system designed by Jon Gilmour and Doug Levandowski gets players into the action fast.
The game's adventures take place in small towns at any point in history before everyone had a device that could catch video of a ghost, call 911 on a maniac, or research an old creaky house in seconds via their pocket computers. A more mysterious time, when anything and everything could happen in places that are remote enough that the rest of the world just doesn’t care about it but close enough that black helicopters can be there within hours.

Star Wars Destiny is a trading card game by Fantasy Flight Games. It was first released in November of 2016. The game has been compared to Magic: the Gathering except that it also incorporates a lot of dice. The game also marked Fantasy Flight Games' return to making collectible card games. The game has already generated a tournament circuit.

Star Wars X-Wing

Star Wars: X-Wing is a miniature war game designed by Jay Little and produced by Fantasy Flight Games that was released at Gen Con in 2012.[2] It features tactical ship-to-ship dogfighting between various types of starfighters set in the fictional Star Wars universe.[3] The game is said to be easy to learn and quick to play taking anywhere between 15 and 60 minutes from first set-up to battle's end. Each round both players give all their ships movement orders without knowing what their opponent is doing before resolving these orders while trying to shoot down enemy craft.

Star Wars X-Wing schedule in the grid
The 13th Age

13th Age was designed to be familiar in terms of setting concepts to D&D players, so it is a class based game with the main rulebook containing standard D&D classes. It's also level based, with ten levels grouped into three tiers. Unlike most other d20 games, 13th Age was designed from the ground up to not use miniatures or a grid, and instead uses abstract distances and positioning. In order to speed up combat the Player Characters gain an escalating bonus to hit equal to the number of rounds that have passed.

The skills systems often associated with recent versions of Dungeons and Dragons have been replaced with backgrounds by 13th Age. Players are encouraged to create backstories for their characters that give them bonuses to actions in the game, often asking them to refer to a time in their fictional past when they have dealt with a similar obstacle and how they overcame it or what they learnt from the experience.

Other differences from standard d20 games include the backgrounds taking the place of most utility magic, weapon damage dice being determined by class (a feature shared with Dungeon World), spells that are only expended on bad rolls, and recoveries that resemble D&D 4e healing surges.

Trail of Cthulhu is an investigative horror role-playing game published by Pelgrane Press in which the players' characters investigate mysterious events related to the Cthulhu Mythos. It was designed by Kenneth Hite using the GUMSHOE System, which was created by Robin Laws. Trail of Cthulhu is based on the Call of Cthulhu role playing game under license from Chaosium.
