M.J. Engh is a science fiction author and independent Roman scholar. She was named Author Emerita by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America in 2009. Her first science fiction story was published in 1964 under the pseudonym Jane Beauclerk.
M.J. is best known for her 1976 novel Arslan, about an invasion of the United States.
She is also an independent scholar of Roman history.
