GMy name is James Hayes and I will once again be doing Cordials, Liqueurs and Potions for Miscon. This will be the forth instalment of this panel. I am skilled in many areas and have run panels and classes for over twenty years. Hope to see you all at some of them .

Greetings! My name is James Hayes. I have many hobbies and Talents . In 2018 I will once again reprise my roles as Riddle Master and Brew master. I am currently working on becoming more talented at steam punk costuming and you may see something from me in this area this year. I ran the Quest last year and we are currently working on a new one for this year as well as other amazing projects. I love to sing and to play games. I will once again bring song books and participate in the Filk. I believe that an event can not grow without new Ideas ! So Bring yours !     Opening at the start of the convention and ending on Sunday at 3PM, The Quest is for you the attendee to get as many signatures as possible from everyone you meet! Sign up with James Hayes, and get more details. First place wins a Sword and share from the contents of the chest! The second and third place winners will share in the chest.

    So you want to be a pro at a convention. Here we’ll discuss identifying your skills, marketing yourself, organizing your ideas, meeting deadlines, & fighting the dreaded Imposter Syndrome.

    Come in costume (or not) and join us for a brief stroll around downtown Missoula to ring in the start of MisCon and announce to the usual inhabitants of our fair city that we've arrived! We're going to walk down Higgins Street to Broadway, cross the street, then head back along Higgins and through Caras Park back to the hotel for opening ceremonies.

    A Focus on Fruit and Berry Liqueurs. This class will teach you how to make cheap alcohol, such as vodka, and make it into a delightful beverage for serving at parties. James Hayes will provide a list of references, and will demonstrate on how to make at least two liquors and an extract. Samples may be available to those at least 21 years young.

    Unless you are very lucky, the average pattern doesn’t provide a quick and easy fit, or that screen-accurate look. Most people find they need to fit the pattern more closely to their body for a polished look and it’s almost always necessary to adjust patterns with custom pieces to get the right look for a character. Starting with measurements, this panel will teach you how to do basic fitting and modifications to a store-bought paper pattern.

    Rhyming Riddles in a Medieval style. Riddles based on Movies, History, Popular culture, Animals and other assorted trivia. A typical riddle has for rhyming lines. The riddle should be able to be solved by any one line but each line should contribute to the solving of the riddle. There will be instant prizes as well as 1st and 2nd place winners.
