John Goff
MisCon 25 Attending Pro
John’s been playing RPGs for over three decades. He’s been writing scenarios and rules for them for nearly that long as well—although it took twenty years before he convinced someone to actually start publishing his work. In spite of publishing over a million words for various gaming systems, his first solo project, the dime novel Night Train for Pinnacle Entertainment’s Deadlands RPG—also known among players as the “PC Death Train”—remains to this day probably his best-known work.
In addition to stints as the line developer for both the Deadlands and Conspiracy X roleplaying games, John has been an interrogator for the US Army, a firearms instructor, and a private investigator. Currently, he is the brand manager of Pinnacle Entertainment’s Showdown miniatures game. His recent novel, Deluge, is a finalist for the 2010 Origins Award for Best Game-Related Book.
