Jeff Sturgeon
MisCon 39 Artist
Jeff is a northwest artist known for his beautiful award winning metal paintings usually involving space in one form or another. Jeff is also known for beautiful landscapes.
Jeff paints primarily with acrylics on either textured metal or canvas and his work has appeared on many book and magazine covers. Jeff is a guest and has been an AGOH at numerous cons around the country. Jeff is a member of the IAAA, the International Astronomical Artists Association.
Jeff’s work has won numerous awards over the years but he’s most proud of his Best of Show at NASFIC 2005, Judges Choice and 2 Childrens Choice awards LAcon4 WorldSF Con 2006 and a Judges Choice and Peoples Choice Best of Show Devention WorldSF Con 2008. Jeff was awarded one of the six coveted awards at Renovation, 2011 WorldSF Con in Reno, NV. Jeff has also been awarded Norwescon’s Best of Show three times and this year he was awarded Peoples Choice Best SF for the 6th time.
Jeff in a former life was a long time computer game artist/ art director most notably with Electronic Arts Seattle. He lives in the Cascade foothills of Wa with sons Corwin and Duncan.
