Theresa Miller

MisCon 39 Attending Professional

Theresa Miller lives in a small town in Idaho with four cows, three beehives, two cats, and one husband - numbers subject to change at any time. She believes in the healing magic of food, cat purrs, and human attention. In the summer you will find her outdoors - gardening, hanging out with her bees, picking huckleberries, and writing. In the winter you will find her hiding from the cold - cooking, sewing, writing, and anything else that catches her fancy and keeps her close to the woodstove.
Her first novel, a cozy mystery with magic called Mushrooms, Magic, and Murder, came out in April 2023

Theresa Miller spent most of her childhood in an imaginary world full of magic, fairies, secret gardens and fantastical feasts. Now she plants her own gardens, cooks her own feasts, searches the mountains for signs of fairies, and writes about magic. She has attended Miscon since 2011 and participated in the writers workshop for eight years. She won an honorable mention in the Writers of the Future contest with her short story "Westward to the Wastelands," and a silver honorable mention with a story she co-wrote with Eric Stever, "The Norka."
She has written articles about rural living for Countryside, Goat Journal, and Backyard Chickens. Her first novel is in timeout (in a trunk in a cabin in the mountains) where it has been left to think about its many failings. She turned her attention to small town cozy mysteries with magic. Her first novel, Mushrooms, Magic, and Murder came out in April 2023
