James Jones (Lord Alden Blackhand)

Head of a magical family, Lord Alden Blackhand is a performing magician, historian and master machinist. When not on stage or performing mystifying close-up magic, Alden is busy manufacturing and designing mechanical wonders. Metalworking, blacksmithing, gunsmithing and inventors' prototyping are his fields of specialization, from hand-cut gears to unique structures of precision detailed steel. Decades of experience ranging from massive machines to delicate silversmithing allow Alden to design and build tools, weapons and costume accessories that make metal dreams become real. On stage, Lord Alden performs with Jones Family Magic as a mentalist and sleight-of-hand artist. Behind the scenes, he is the builder and designer of custom magical props and mysterious devices designed to awe and amaze. He also serves as technical staff with Sound Geeks DJ and Sound.
Lord Alden is a charter member of the Butte and Southwest Montana Steampunk Association, and is also a member of the Society of American Magicians, the International Brotherhood of Magicians, the Fellowship of Christian Magicians, and the SCA.
