Sierra Stoneberg Holt has a Botany PhD from the Czech Republic. She is the author of a bilingual fantasy, Písně větru, two photo books, Prairie Sunrise/Prairie Roots: My Montana Ranch Life, and a research article, “Reinterpreting the 1882 Bison Population Collapse”. On a ranch 50 miles south of “The Middle of Nowhere” (according to the CDC), established by her great great grandmother and great grandparents over 100 years ago, she hand milked cows, made cheese, herded cattle on horseback, studied vegetation, and raised two children. She has taught classes and seminars from pre-K to PhD.
