Jeff Fennel

Jeff is an award-winning artist and designer in a variety of mediums and disciplines and teaches digital art and entertainment design courses at Butte College in Northern California. He has always had a deep passion for science fiction and fantasy and was a quarterly winner in the first Illustrators of the Future competition. He is a juried member of the I.A.A.A. (International Astronomical Artists Association) and a frequent guest at sci-fi conventions throughout the western U.S. He has won dozens of awards over the years for his artistic vision and has been honored to be Artist Guest of Honor numerous times at major conventions.
Jeff has authored and been instrumental in the development of properties in the video game industry for the past 25 years. He credits good ole D & D (and Hargrave’s Arduin Grimoire) and his circle of fellow gamers with establishing the foundation for his career in game design. His skills in art, design, worldbuilding and storytelling have translated into millions of units sold for major clients like Electronic Arts, Sega, Sony, 3DO, Accolade, TSR, Wizards of the Coast, Warner Brothers, Nickelodeon and Nintendo. His interests in astronomy & physics, science-fiction and cultural anthropology continue to inspire his work.
A major influence on Jeff was the coverage and excitement of the space race and the Apollo program and vivid memories of his early childhood which include a very lucid dream world . He is returning to his roots in tabletop game design and very excited about bringing his experience and skills to a new generation of gaming enthusiasts.
