Tobias McCurry
MisCon 37 Guest of Honor

Tobias McCurry is the founder of Spring Heeled Studios, a Seattle-based company specializing in costume design, prop making, and performance. He gained fame through his appearance on the TV show Steampunk'd and is known for his unique approach to costume design, which integrates special effects and practicality. With a background in performance, including sword fighting, fire breathing, and stilt walking, and over ten years of technical theatre experience, Tobias is a jack of all trades in convention production. Having worked on both sides of the stage as both a performer and an event producer, he has extensive experience in Live Action Roleplaying (LARP) across the US and has participated in a variety of genres including Medieval Fantasy, Post-Apocalyptic, and Steampunk. In addition to his work in LARP, independent film, and commercials, Tobias is skilled in techniques such as leather work and foam smithing, which he uses to bring fantasy to life and make the impossible attainable.
