Panels and tables for the MisCon 41 Art Show are available. Please complete an application to be considered.
MisCon Artist Rules
All artists exhibiting work in the MisCon Art Show and Art Auction must comply with the following rules and requirements.
Eligible Artwork
MisCon welcomes both original artwork and prints.
All exhibited artwork must fit within the convention’s science fiction, fantasy, space, gaming, horror, or speculative fiction themes.
Because MisCon is a family-friendly event, artwork containing excessive violence or explicit sexual content will not be accepted. The Art Show Coordinator reserves the right to refuse any artwork that does not meet these guidelines.
AI-generated artwork is not eligible for exhibition in the MisCon Art Show.
Display Requirements
All artwork must arrive ready for display.
Two-Dimensional Artwork

Must be framed, matted, or otherwise professionally prepared for hanging.

Artwork will be displayed using hooks, binder clips, or other approved hanging methods.
Three-Dimensional Artwork

Must be self-supporting and stable for display.
Each piece must be clearly labeled on the back with:

Artwork title
-
Piece number
-
Artist name
-
Artist address
A corresponding bid sheet must be attached to each piece.
All entries must also be listed on a Master Control Sheet submitted by the artist.
Bid sheets and Master Control Sheets are available for download. If discrepancies exist between a bid sheet and a Master Control Sheet, the information displayed on the bid sheet will be considered the official sale information unless corrected before the show opens.
Items not intended for sale must be clearly marked "Not For Sale" on the bid sheet.

A commission of 15% will be deducted from all sales.
Art Show fees must be paid separately from convention memberships, future memberships, and merchant table fees unless prior arrangements have been approved by both the Art Show Coordinator and the Convention Chair.
Important Dates
Submission Deadline: TBD
Artwork that is mail in must be received no later than 8:00 PM on Friday, June 18, 2027.
Artists delivering artwork in person will be contacted the Art Show Coordinator in advance to arrange setup times.
Artwork Pickup:
Unless prior arrangements have been made, all unsold artwork must be picked up by TBD on Sunday, June 27, 2027, by either:

The artist, or
-
An authorized representative identified to the Art Show Coordinator in advance.
Art Sales and Auctions
Artwork entered into the Art Show may be sold through Direct Sale, Silent Auction, or Live Auction.
Direct Sales:
Artwork may be purchased at the listed Direct Sale price, provided the item remains on display until the conclusion of the Live Art Auction. Attendees requiring earlier pickup should speak with the Art Show Chairs to discuss available options.
Silent Auction:
At the conclusion of the Silent Auction:

Artwork with one or two bids will be sold to the highest bidder at the current bid amount.

Artwork receiving a third bid advances to the Live Auction.
Live Auction:
Artwork advancing from the Silent Auction will be sold during the Live Art Auction.
Any artwork remaining unsold following the Live Auction will be returned to display and made available for purchase at:

The listed Direct Sale price, or
-
A designated post-auction price established by the artist.
Shipping Information
Artists shipping artwork to MisCon are responsible for all shipping and insurance costs to and from the convention.
Return shipping and insurance fees must accompany incoming artwork. Artists delivering work in person who wish to have artwork shipped back must provide:

Required shipping and insurance fees
Artwork will be returned during the week following MisCon.
Returns will be shipped using UPS or FedEx only. USPS will not be used for return shipments due to insurance limitations.
Artists without carrier accounts may have artwork shipped through their preferred carrier, with reimbursement processed following the convention.
Artwork Security and Intellectual Property:
To help protect artists’ intellectual property, photography and video recording within the Art Show are prohibited.
In the event that artwork is lost or stolen while under MisCon’s care, MisCon will compensate the artist up to the artwork’s listed Direct Sale value.
Charity and Fundraising Artwork
Artists wishing to donate artwork for MisCon fundraising efforts should clearly mark the item "For MisCon" on the bid sheet.
Any donated pieces not sold through Direct Sale will automatically proceed to auction.
