Artists discuss everything related to art: technique, media, history, common fantasy and sci-fi themes and just about anything else you can imagine.
- Costuming

Everything related to costuming: learn how to make your own costumes of different types from steampunk to Star Wars to Victorian dresses to monsters.
- Fight Demo or Class

Learn how to use a rapier, German Longsword, a bow, or a foam boffer weapon. These panels include combat demos by the SCA, Dragon Dronet, Realms of Avalon, or Zombie Tools.
- Film & Film Festival

Anything related to movies, MisCon's Annual Film Festival, video production. If it has been filmed and is played on a screen somewhere, it belongs in this category.
- Gaming

Discussion of game-related topics. Usually these panels deal with role-playing games like Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, Shadowrun, GURPS, Deadlands, Call of Cthulhu, Amber, and many others.
- Geek Discussion

Discuss anything and everything related to science fiction, fantasy, or horror. This includes Opening and Closing Ceremonies and 2 kinds of panels: 1. Panelist led discussions of topics, and 2. Group discussions of topics. Come have fun talking about cool stuff.

Activities for Kids!
These activvities are designed for entire families to enjoy together. Don’t drop your children off to these panels — participate with them! All ages are welcome to all kid activities.
Activities include coloring, playing with Play-Doh, readings, and crafts. Review the online schedule to help determine when you should bring your kids to the convention!
Please note: ALL children must be accompanied by an adult at every SpawnCon panels.
- Makers

Maker panels are all about building physical things using any medium (such as 3D printers, fiberglass, thermal plastics, papier mache, blacksmithing, making chainmail using wire, etc).
- Merchants

This department handles the dealer room from top to bottom. They're the people to talk to about getting a table where you can sell stuff. If you want a fan table to promote yourself or your organization, talk to the Operations people.

Mostly this includes panels on belly dancing or music (such as filking). Want to see the Sultana Dancers at their best? Want to learn how to belly dance? How about filking with the pros? This is your place.
- Pop Culture Chat

An informal discussion of some part of pop culture, such as a show, game, movie, anime, comic, etc. These chats generally include audience participation.

These people handle all registration-related issues for MisCon.
- Writing

These panels include everything related to writing. Most of the time famous authors are the ones talking,l giving you tips on how to get published. They discuss craft, the publishing business, etc. They include MisCon's Writers' Workshop.
